Board of DirectorsPlease feel free to contact any of our Board Members for more information about the Republican Congress of Placer County. We are happy to speak with you, answer any questions you may have and provide more information about getting involved. Gerry Brentnall, PresidentGerry has
been on the Placer County Planning Commission since 1997. He is the former
owner of VFR Digital Communications, Inc. and former Partner in the law
firm of Rowley, Grace, Brentnall and Kraft from 1992 to 1996. He is a
Retired Air Force Lt Colonel with a B.S. degree from San Jose State, M.S.
from Air Force Institute of Technology and J.D. from McGeorge School of
Law, University of the Pacific. Gerry has served on the Board as a Director
since 2002 and was First Vice President for 2005-06. First Vice President Kathy Gire, Second Vice President Kathy holds a BA degree in History from Denison University. She also attended the University of Cincinnati College of Law where she was one of only four women enrolled in the school. Kathy and husband Myron have lived in South Placer since 1971. She originated the “Loomis Limelight” column in the Loomis News and has done free-lance travel writing for many years. She is involved in genealogy research and is a member of the Mayflower Society. She is an active volunteer and raises money for local non-profit organizations. She presently edits professional newsletters and brochures as well as works of fiction. Kathy has worked on many political campaigns in both the local and national venue and is proud to be a 5th generation Republican. She has served as an officer or member of many organizations, including the Auburn Symphony League, Daughters of the American Revolution, Placer County Republican Central Committee and Auburn Area Republican Women Federated. Murriel Oles, SecretaryMurriel was one of the founders of the Republican Congress back in 1999. She has served tirelessly in many capacities since then but, perhaps most importantly, she is the culinary genious behind the annual Crab Feast. She is also active in the Auburn Area Republican Women Federated having served as President of the chapter as well as roles at the higher Division level. Carl DeWing, Immediate-Past-PresidentCarl recently retired from State service as the Information Officer for the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control. Carl is a former three time Mayor of Loomis, Member of the Loomis Planning Commission 2001 – 2002, Press Secretary to State Senator Ken Maddy, 1989 to 1991. Carl is also the well known former news reporter and anchor at KOVR TV Channel 13. Carl likes to golf, garden and enjoys small boat sailing. He is a member of the Catalina Fleet 4 Association and was Fleet Captain in 2000. Carl joined the Board in 2002 as First Vice President and served as President from 2005-06. She has held leadership positions in the Information Systems departments of large financial institutions where she managed large technology projects and worked with business leaders to envision, implement, and operate automated business systems. Mrs. Davidson holds Bachelors and Masters degrees in Mathematics from Indiana State University. She served as a teacher of mathematics and computer science for 20 years in Indiana and California before entering the corporate world. Jon Green, DirectorJon owns and operates Home on the Range, a golf driving range in Newcastle. Previously, he has been a high school teacher, an Infantry Company Commander, a Pacific Bell Executive, a school board member, President of the Placer County Fair Board, and President of the Placer County 4H council. Pat Evans, DirectorPat has been a Republican since 1948 and has been involved ever since. She lived in Sunset Whitney for 37 years and served on the Placer County Republican Central Committee for 6 years. She was 1st Vice President of the Auburn Area Republican Women Federated for two years and President for 2 years. She iscurrently serving as Chaplain of same.
