REPUBLICANS TO DISCUSS NOVEMBER PROPOSITIONS
Roseville -- The pros and cons of propositions on the November ballot
will be the topic of discussion at
a public forum co-hosted by the Republican Congress of Placer County and
the Auburn Area Republican Women Federated.
Speakers either for or against the propositions will include: Ken Campbell,
former Chairman of the
Placer County Republican Central Committe and current member; Kathy Lund,
Chairperson of the Placer County Transportation Planning Agency and current
Rocklin City Council member; Katharyn McLearan of the Sacramento Region
Planned Parenthood; John Dunlap, former President and CEO of the California
Restaurant Association, former Chairman of the State Compensation Insurance
Fund, and former Chairman of the State Air Resources Board; and Bill George,
former Assistant Secretary of the California Technology Trade and Commerce
Agency, and current communications consultant on public affairs issues.
The public is invited to attend the meeting on Wednesday, October 18,
2006, at Mark and Monica’s
Sports Bar and Grill, 8705 Auburn-Folsom Road in Granite Bay, just south
of Douglas.
A social hour will start at 5:30, with the program to begin at 6 p.m.
Hor D’ouvres and drinks will be available. To defray the costs of
the location and food, a $15 donation is requested for advanced reservations,
